Gallstone in pregnancy

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and started having recurring gallbladder symptoms during my last(3rd) pregnancy. Once the baby was born I went for further testing and no stones were present but inflammation and pain lead to being diagnosed with gallbladder disease. I was told to try to control the symptoms with diet and hope it dies down, which it did. Now during pregnancy number 4 I do have a stone and even with a very controlled diet am in mild pain most of the time and occasionally in enough pain that I have passed out. My blood tests are always normal other then a horrible infection that landed me in the ER and in several rounds of antibiotics followed by a c.diff infection. The pain and stomach upset from my gallbladder is now causing contractions and I can barely sleep most nights. I throw up at least once a day, my stomach is always upset and I am beyond exhausted. My doctor has basically said to just wait it out as long as I can, he will keep checking my blood and symptoms often to make sure it's not becoming dangerous. I'm supposed to really keep track of my food and rest. He said he will be pleased if I make it to 36weeks then I can have the baby via csection and they can deal with my gallbladder without risk to the baby. That all sounds great except I don't know if I can handle 4 more weeks of this pain. I'm starting to feel really affected and stressed about it. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do in the meantime??

It may be worth calling you doctor to explain more about the symptoms you're having to see if she has any further suggestions. You could ask what your options are at this point for managing the gallbaldder symptoms - perhaps she can recommend some light exercises that will help with the pain or you can work together on further tweaking your diet to reduce symptoms.
