is it likely my diarrhea is due to my nonfunctioning gallbladder?

I have intermittent diarrhea maybe 2-3 times a week. Colonoscopy is clear, CT scan is clear, HIDA shows my gallbladder functioning at 16% and I am advised to have it removed (no stones). I am avoiding buttery food. Sometimes I get bloated and uncomfortable but NOT severe pain UNLESS I eat a steak that is cooked in butter. The surgeon said my diarrhea isn't due to the nonfunctioning gallbladder. What should I do next?
