Sorry, I've had the same problems for about 9 years following a complicated resection due to colorectal cancer. I've wondered if adhesions could be the culprit. I couldn't get anyone to look and was told if they do another surgery, it will cause more adhesions. The pain is awful! I did find a med that helps, at least for now with constipation called Linzess. They had given me the colonoscopy prep as well, to take weekly, but that would not help either. The Linzess is expensive, but if u don't have insurance, they have a program to help you out. I would try to ask your doctor about that. I also had stomach scar tissue that was so bad, I couldn't put my hands over my head, I found a PT that works on that issue, it helped my gut, but not on the inside. Good luck!
thank you for the reply.. I have asked many doctors to go in an explore, I can't get them to do it...they pretty much tell me it's all in my head. I am going to make an appointment today and request that he does laporscopic sugury and if he don't I will ask to be referred to a new doctor...I can't believe the doctors will just let one suffer the way they do..
What you are experiencing is very similar to what I had been experiencing for over a year. I had been to primary care doctors, gastro doctors, gyn. They all said they couldn't find the problem, it was IBS, etc. Colonoscopy ruled out IBS also and I didn't think that was it. The last 5 months, I had experienced (on and off) extreme stomach cramping, like labor pains, it would start slow, increase and then back off, but they were extreme. I thought I had a stomach virus. I was told by my gastro doctor to eat more fiber, prunes etc. Well, 3 weeks ago, I had the stomach cramping again and I just couldn't take it anymore. I went to the ER and they did a CT scan. Turned out I had several things wrong. I had an inflamed appendix so they did surgery to remove that, but when they did, it didn't look all that bad, so they looked around and they found that I had a foot long section of my intestine that was scarred and twisted and blocked. I then had to have major surgery to remove and resection the intestine. That did not show up on the CT scan and didn't show up on the abdominal ultrasound I had months ago. None of my doctors figured this out even though I had classic symptoms: bloating, fatigue, constipation and eating very little but had an extended stomach and no weight loss. Needless to say, I was upset with my gastro and even my primary for not even considering a blocked intestine. I suffered for over a year. So my suggestion to you is to print out my reply and take it to the gastro doctor because you sound identical to me.
I hope this helps you!!!
take care and let me know.
I forgot to mention that along with the pulling feeling, I also have severe cramps it kinda feels like labor pains....I also feel like I am going to pass out, I actually get sweaty. I have had cramps before but not like these,
