Advice on Diarrhea and Weight loss

Hello. So I was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week. I was only ill for like 3-4days. I ate during this time period. Not alot but I did continue to eat despite loss of appetite. When I step on the scale it says I'm 4 sometimes 5, but mainly pounds lighter than I was (scale gives me different numbers at times) Did I actually lose weight or is that water weight? I had diarrhea during that time.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  Sorry you had covid.  It can have such a different effect on people.  Some people lose weight because while they think they are eating, it's less.  And having diarrhea will impact your weight.  Normally it does take a little while for this to happen but yes, you lose a high volume of water with loose, watery stool of diarrhea so that can become water weight loss in the short term.  Let us know how you are doing now please.
