Anaemic and Low B12

I am a 22 year old female and last year I found out I was anaemic and was seriously low in iron, folate and B12. I was put on supplements and sent for tests. The doctor said I had something with the antibodies in my stomach lining and left it at that. I had another blood test recently and (admittedly I have been forgetting to take my tablets) the doctor said my iron and B12 levels had dropped again and referred me to a stomach specialist to find the cause. She said she was worried as it is something not normally seen in someone my age. Now I have been booked for an endoscopy in two weeks and a little nervous as I have no idea what could be wrong.
I would like to know if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone knows what they could be looking for?
Thanks so much!
P.S I have a numb big toe but I'm not sure if this is related

I too will get the numb fingers and feet. But usually when I've been sitting for awhile. Not sure if it's related or not. I also have a lot of hairloss and my nails are very dry and brittle.

I'm hoping once I have my tests done they'll know what is going on.

Good luck hun

Hey :)
What other symptoms have you had?
The only noticeable but I'm not sure if they are related things I have had is tingling toes and muscle cramps in my legs.

Hello there,

I have stuggled with low iron and b12 for over 7 years, I am now 39. I go for monthly injections ( b12) and I take iron pills ( when I remember). I was never given a reason why this is happening, just told that I need to come in for shots. Fast forward to today( 7 years later) and I am finally getting an endoscopy and colonoscopy to find out the reason why. I do have other symptoms though, so I think this is why they are finally doing something.

I wish you all the best and please keep us posted on how things go.
