Anal Skin Tag Removal Concerns

Hi,

In two weeks I am getting a small skin tag removed by a general surgeon that is close to my anus but not directly one it. Reading horror stories about the pain of the injection of the local anaesthesia is making me nervous about it. I am generally really good with needles and did not think about it until reading some peoples experiences. I can deal with the after math pain but the shots are freaking me out. I was wondering if anyone had any good experiences with the removal/pain of the local anaesthetic?
