Anyone any idea??

Not sure where to start here. Basically for the last 4 weeks I've had bloating, abdominal pain and excess belching. I've also lost over a stone in weight since this all happened. Been to see my GP who has referred me for an emergency ultrasound (waiting on appointment) took urine and blood sample (still waiting on results) when I lay down my abdomen under my belly button is hard and tender too. Anyone been through the same thing and found out what all of this is please?

whoa, you posted while I was posting and I didn't realize it!  Sorry!

It sounds like your doctor is going to make you wait a little bit to do much more which stinks!  I'd log exactly what you eat. I had a friend who ended up having a food intolerance (gluten) that was celiac disease. She had several issues from it.  Another friend had severe issues if she ate corn or nuts leading to an eventual diagnosis of diverticulitis. Both helped aid in figuring it out by keeping a food journal each day leading up to seeing the doctor.

It can take a little time to bounce back from gastroenteritis but what kind of concerns me is the bloating. Is it hard to button your pants for example (or zip or whatever, lol)?

To say I've lost over a stone its made no difference on my Jean's being looser so yeah a little, it's really hard behind my belly button which makes me think its maybe digestive issues..  I must stress my brother has crohn's disease and mum (after 2years of suffering) has just been diagnosed with colitis too so maybe something that runs in the family but it's just strange how all of this has occurred in the last month when I've never had an issue. Ruling out cancer and pregnancy in itself would probably help massively with the anxiety and palpitations I'm getting lately
Oh yes, absolutely!  Pregnancy is now ruled out, correct?  Hopefully you get the ultrasound soon. Any news on that yet?

Okay, I just found this . . .  https://www.healthline.com/health/belly-button-pain.  It says that you should look into a possible appendicitis!
Well now 5 tests and all negative so I'm guessing it rules that out. Still nothing back from urine/blood test yet. Hopefully wont be long until the ultrasound date comes through
Okay, I didn't know they looked for appendicitis.  I guess that is an obvious one. lol  I thought I solved it for a second!  ha.
No I meant the pregnancy was ruled out lol. I dint think they treat for appendicitis. Although isnt appendicitis ridiculously painful? Mine is a cramping in my pelvis and alot of discomfort and bloating in my abdomen. Another 2lb gone overnight! A total of 16lb loss in 4 weeks! The urine sample and blood sample is to check for any infections as far as I'm aware then the ultrasound to have a look at whats going on

Hi!  Do you mind if I ask your age?  Any other health issues?  I think you are doing the right thing by getting checked out. I'm wondering if the bloating is fluid build up like ascites? Different things can cause this type of bloating PLUS weight loss from gluten intolerance to things like pancreatic or ovarian cancer (do not worry until you have to worry!!)  But your age would be helpful.

I'm 31years old.. I was told 2 weeks ago it was gastroenteritis with no testing or anything. But I felt like that was an easy answer for the doctor at the time. I've made myself anxious over it. At first the tummy discomfort made me take a few pregnancy tests (even though I had no other symptom and my periods were/are normal) all were negative. At the moment I'm struggling with food. Instantly feeling full/sick from the slightest bit of food. Weighed 14.2 a month ago and currently 12.12 so quite a loss in a short space of time. BM has been all over from constipation to diahreoah
I guess another question is if you feel better when you belch?  And are you nauseated at all?
The belching makes no difference if I'm honest. Eating food does make it worse though.. and yes I do feel nauseous, again worse when food is involved
