Biopsy results

My biopsy results from a colonoscopy are back : AIN1, mild dysplasia in distal rectum extending biopsy margin.
I was referred to a surgeon,-what does this mean?
Do I have to be concerned?

I'm sorry, I don't. This is not an area I'm well-versed it and it would be pure speculation on my part.

AIN refers to anal intraepithelial neoplasia which can be a potential precursor of more serious problems if allowed to go unchecked.
