Burning in lower stomach after eating, please help?

Hi, so at the age of 14 I started having this pain in my lower stomach. Nothing terrible, but enough to go to the doctor. Crohn's and colitis run very strong in my family. At that time the doc told me I was too young for Crohn's to show up in a blood test (?) so I was just given a daily acid reflux medication and that was that. Nothing I couldn't handle so I ignored it & delt with the syptoms, until recently, at 21, my father who has Ulcerative Colitis pushed me to go back to a doctor because it had gotten so much worse. The best way I can describe my stomach pain is a constant burning, unbearable most times, curled up jabbing pain. It almost always would be after I ate spicy food, I had a mental list of things to stay away from. But recently it's been random foods, and the reason I'm posting today is because it's happening and I haven't eaten anything. It lasts for about an hour or two, always lower stomach kinda where you'd have mestrual cramps, and physical activity and stress worsen the pain. It also feels like i have to make a BM but i never do, not constipated i just cant. The doctor I saw did every test, no celiac disease, the colonoscopy came back as, "my intestines are inflamed and the iliac (sp?) Part of my colon is larger than usual but no ulcers, however it looks consistent with Crohn's." So, follow up CT scan. The results from that were "nothing wrong with you, you're just constipated". What?!? I stopped seeing that doctor. I felt like I was getting the run around. There's no way pain THIS bad is "constipation". I have a high tolerance for pain too...it brings me to tears. I've been "managing" my symptoms for 7 years. Please, any insight?

id just google homeopathic doctors in your area. see if there are any, and if they specialize in GI issues.

As far as the colonoscopy it was a phone call from the nurse with the results, she said something like, "with what the doctor has seen so far everything looks consistent with Crohn's disease." So that's when she told me to call and schedule a follow up CT scan. And from those results it's almost like they threw out all the findings of colonoscopy and said "you're just constipated." Which US true, I make a BM probably 2-3x a week. I don't strain to get anything out or have issues going though, and it's usually a light brown color, sometimes but not often a pale brown. Somewhat hard but not rock solid.
I've just recently started taking a stool softener so I'll see if that helps. No testing for SIBO or parasites or any of that, haven't even heard of some of that stuff ha. Where would I call to find a "homeopathic" doctor? Are they doctors that stray from traditional medicine or? I have had a lot of frustration and what feels like misguided advice from the doctors I've seen at the big hospitals; it almost feels like they don't believe me or that I'm exaggerating my syptoms :/
Thank you so much for all the advice & suggestions, I'll definitely take it and run with it!

If the colonoscopy showed that you have crohns, that will obviously show more than a CT scan would. Did they say you have crohns? if so, did they give you any medication for it?
But you would be surprised how much pain constipation can cause. How often do you have bowel movements? What do they look like (color, consistency)?
First thing you want to do is relieve the constipation. So adding fiber and drinking more water (60oz a day) should help with that.
You also should stay away from foods that irritate the digestive system and are hard to digest. Those being red meat, dairy, and gluten.
I'd also suggest looking into seeing a homeopathic doctor, a GI specialist, if possible. They tend to run more comprehensive tests that regular doctors dont, due to the narrow mindedness of western medicine.
Have you been tested for SIBO? H.pylori? parasites?
Taking probiotics and digestive enzymes should help as well. For digestive enzymes, I suggest Digest Gold, it really helps. As for Probiotics, since you are in a lot of pain, you should get a pretty strong one, at least 30billion live cultures, maybe even 50 billion. All this should help ease the pain, at least a little, until you can find out for sure the root of all of it.
