Can anyone help? Belching, shortness of breath, indigestion

Can anyone help?

I'm a slim, athletic, 44 year old guy. I look after myself, carry no weight, don't smoke and only drink occasionally. I eat a very healthy diet, avoid processed food and exercise daily.

About 6 months ago I developed a problem with belching, shortness of breath and indigestion.

I get pressure in my chest and back, lots of bloating, breathlessness, and when I drink cold drinks I can feel them high up in my chest, not my stomach. Sometimes I feel like I'm having a heart attack. Food sometimes gets lodged going down and causes discomfort, but not pain.

I have no acid reflux, but everything I eat makes me burp.

I recently developed tinnitus in my right ear. Not sure if that's connected.

I've had my heart and lungs checked by the doctor and they are fine. My bloods show elevated iron and a little anemia. I am negative for H Pylori.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

So, you have been to the doctor and they ruled out acid reflux? That would have been my first guess.  Irritable bowel syndrome is another diagnosis that has the symptoms you describe.  This link will give you an overview of that:  https://www.webmd.com/ibs/default.htm  copy and paste.  Was this discussed with your doctor?

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I don’t have reflux but I suspect perhaps a hernia? I’m awaiting investigation but things are slow on account of the pandemic
