Can probiotics lead to chronic GI disturbances?

Hi, about three years ago I tried a common probiotic to improve my digestive health. After taking it for a few weeks I was experiencing severe flatulence, bloating and diarrhoea. Since then I have had fluctuating symptoms with the addition of chronic prostatitis, gastric reflux and fatigue. I have tried various probiotics and been prescribed various antibiotics to treat the prostatitis, but have had no luck. I am convinced all these issues stem from a dysbiosis of some form. Has anyone experienced this before, or potentially have any suggestions to manage this condition? Thank you!
