Chronic Burping remedy or cure?

Well I been dealing with Excessive burping for 2 years now in my life. I am only 21 years old. for the last 2 years I have seen a regular doctor and a gastro specialist. I have tried all types of medications you name it. Prilosec, Purple pill, Pepcid, Amitryptyliine, Omeprazole, meloxicam, baclofen, nexium, amoxcimillin, clarithromycyn, metocloporamide, and belladona, and several others...I tried Tunmeric (Indian Herb Vitamin), tried Yogurt with natural bacteria...different diets...and nothing,,,I have sadly learned to lived with it. I have gotten done 2 endoscopy last one in December 2008.....CAT scan, MRI, Stomach Digesion observation, and other things..Full blood tests...The tests came ok the edoscpy showed just a litlle irritation and thats it. The 2nd endoscopy show that the cap by my stomach was not strong..He has repeadly told me that is nothing serious but it can IBS or a irritable gut..thats it no cancer or tumor or serioys,,,The only other thing flagged was my Iron it was low...Dr. gave me vitamins but no improvemnt also.... I have reular bowel movements... The burping is just the part that annoys me...Somethimes I wake up and feel full like if I just ate..I hate the mornings..Thorughtout the day I can manage it becuase I do not burp it aloud. But I dread every morning I feel bad. And nothing has helped. I dread the option of assssurgery becuase I hear people who makes their burping worse...I dont want that....Im just hopeless for now..Does anyone know of anythings...Oh And I have lifeted my bed coupld of inches to help..I noticed that if I sleep more upwards it help but cannot find a complete solution..And Anti0acids do not help...anyoe feels the same way?

My mother has had the same problem for 2 years...She has tried antacids, doctors have looked at the internal structure of her digestive tract, and she's had the bacteria levels in her stomach tested. She even tried anti-anxiety medication on the doctor's suggestion that its "in her head."

Anyone had any luck on this?

I have a problem with burping, too.  I think mine may be caused by the many medications that I take, but it hasn't bothered me enough to talk to my GI doc about it. I go to him because I have esophogeal spasm that won't let my food go into my stomach sometimes. I have had my esophogus stretched twice. It has helped, but not eliminated the problem.

What kinds of food do you eat?  This is usually the culprit when it comes to gas and burping.  It sounds like everything else has been ruled out, so I would look closely at what you are eating.  We've all experienced this with certain foods, could even be a mild form of an allergy to a certain food.  Maybe you have already explored the food issue, if not, something to consider.  Best of luck to you!
