gallbladder and coffee

After recovery following gallbladder removal can my a person drink coffee?

Unless you have GERD, there's generally no reason you should stop drinking coffee. That said, coffee, even decaf, does tend to weaken the LES. (Caffeine is a heavy contributor to this, though not the sole contributor.)

Recommendation: Avoid caffeinated coffee. Otherwise you should be fine. Wait a few weeks after the operation before trying, though.

I get acid reflux after drinking coffee, but no reaction after tea. I don't think there is any medical reason not to drink it, it may be just what you can tolerate.
