Constant nausea from gastritis/ulcer. What to do?

Hello. I am a 22 year old female. Exactly a month ago, I started getting nausea at night. The nausea would persist all through the night and get better in the morning. The next week, the nausea began following me throughout the day. Since March 2nd, I have had constant, unrelenting nausea. I do not/have not thrown up.

A week into the ordeal, I began having black stools. Those lasted for about a week and a half and then subsided. I sometimes have very mild gnawing in my stomach but that subsides as time goes on. The only thing that does not falter is the nausea. I do not have any intense pain. I actually don't really have any stomach pain at all. I do not have diarrhea. My stools are a normal color with some mucus.

Some days, it does feel like my stomach is very raw. Maybe like someone punched me in the gut.

I saw my NP and she said it sounds like an ulcer. She did not do any tests. She has me on 20 mg of Nexium a day which I have been on for three weeks.

I am unable to eat real food. I eat only crackers, occasional oatmeal, and I drink water and Gatorade.

I am trying to get back to her to schedule a endo or at least an H Pylori test. My blood work came back and I am not anemic.

What I would like to know is: Has anyone else experience ulcer/gastritis without pain and only nausea? How long will this persist? Any help or advice I can get from someone with the same symptoms would help me greatly.

Thank you.

Bump your Nexium up to 40 mg 2 times (that is perscription strength) a day morning and prior to bed. Also get Carafate (perscription ask her for it) take before meals this will heal your ulcers, drop the pill in a little water and drink it, they are not costly. I just had an endo done which had the same things ulcers, erosive gastris, hiatial hernia, bile leaking into stomach, it's a mess.  I have no urge to eat either. Hope this helps.
