I have pain in my right side after a bowl movement do you have some answers?

After my bowl movement I have a pain in my right side about 3" to the right of my belly button. The stool is normal color, but comes out flat on two sides. The pain is sort of a burning sensation, and pain. The pain will last a couple hours up to 12 hours.
