hi there 16 months ago I developed a huge stomach looked 9months preg with twins, doctors thought liver cance3r, then overian cancer, neither, start smallish stomach in morning huge at night, all food makes me swell, put on 7kg in one week, feel sick, no energy and burning gut. had light up, light down stomach bit slow emptying, had berimeal but got no answers, no matter how much or how little I eat I gain weight. been on gf and lactose free for several months, any ideas please.

thank you i have been on domperidone but it did not help,currently on mebervine slight improvement.

Hi, motility disorders can cause the symptoms described by you. Motility disorders are functional disorders. Medications to promote motility may help in emptying the intestines by promoting motility. Diabetes mellitus can cause autonomic neuropathy and consequent slower motility of the intestinal tract. Hope this has been ruled out. Follow up with your doctor. Regards.
