Esophagus atresia type Vogt IIIa

my son was born with an esophagus atresia type Vogt IIIa. Distance has been 6 vertebral bodies long.
In the first operation the upper end of the esophagus is made as cervical fistula.
What possibilities do we have next and what advantages and disadvantages do they have?

Regards
E.

You may also want to log into medscape.com and query 'all sources' for esophageal atresia surgery to look through the articles on 'general procedures.' Follow up with googling 'esophageal lengthening surgery.'
