Experience with sulphur burps while on methadone?

Hi

I am a patient at a methadone maintenance clinic. For the last several months I have been having the sulphur/egg burps along with vomiting. I do not, however, experience the typical diarrhea because I am almost always constipated due to the methadone (synthetic opioid agonist, produces severe constipation as a side effect in some people). I am planning on seeing a physician to determine if this is a case of H. Pylori or Giardia infection or if there is something at play with the constipation causing my GI tract to change. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had any similar issue with the sulphur burps while constipated from methadone/other opioid use.

I am currently dealing with this issue now. Methadone 80mg for 18 months. Finally decided to work my way down. Now I’m down to 30mg & the nasty burps are here along with some other “here&there” stomach problems.
