Hi there!

The gall bladder is a temporary storage organ of bile, which is produced by the liver cells and helps in fat absorption. Bile is normally secreted in response of food with increased fat content. In the absence of the GB, the bile trickles directly from the liver into the intestine; and there is no increased secretion with fat intake, resulting in fat malabsorption.
Hope this information helps.

Take care!

The gall bladder stores bile and releases it when you eat any type of fatty food. After removal, the bile just drains into the small intestine. This can cause some diarrhea and loose stools for some people. If your gall bladder is causing you problems, the problems go away for most people.
