Gas pain followed by thin, sticky bowel movement

I get this once or twice a month(for years), lasting for hours. It doesn't seem to have a commonality in time of month, diet, or stress. I am gluten free, and that definitely helps a bit(it used to happen more) but not completely. When I search I only get IBS as a result, but I then when I look into IBS or take the "do you have it" online quizzes, I don't have the right symptoms.

Symptoms: Gas pain with sudden urge to go. Lots of gas pain during BM. Pain gone for a few minutes after BM, but usually returns within 20mins or so. Repeat cycle 3-4times. Then I'm fine. The BM is thin, soft and "sticky". Light brown/green.

I guess it's time to go to a GI.

Agree. You should see a gastroenterologist for further workup and evaluation.
