Hardened Stool

Hi so I've been pretty constipated over the last couple months and I believe it's because I have hardened stool that's stuck. What should I do? I bought miralax but I haven't used any yet, wondering if there's a better option for me? I don't have severe pain just random discormfort here and there and I get bloated from time to time. Ive been drinking lots of fluids and increased my fiber intake.
