I know this is an old post but I am hoping to get some advice about what to do about bile reflux. Have you had the surgery ? If yes did he make a difference? I had my GB out in October this year and I would like very much to talk to someone that has been through problems with bile reflux. I am getting desperate because PPIs don't work for me too and sucralfate only helps a bit. Hope you are cure today.
sorry for late reply, my father undergo this problem after removal of gallbladder, a doctor did the diversion surgery for him, and thx God it succeeded, the doctor who did the surgery is experienced and did it before. is not easy to the patient as it takes about 5 hours especially if there is heart problem, the acid relfux still but the bile reflux is very low now. i don't know what i can advice you, it is your decision
I have no first hand experience with bile diversion surgery, but i think it is the only surgery that will stand a chance of curing bile reflux.
