Hirschprung's disease itself only means, that an end part of the colon is not innervated properly, what leads to constipation or diarrhea. In severe cases, affected part of the colon has to be surgically removed, and no other problems are expected. This disease alone is not a life threatening one.

It is important to know, if other inborn diseases co-exist, which occurs quite often.
