I had a colonoscopy yesterday and

OK so i had problems for a long time going to the bathroom, and i had a colonoscopy yesterday done and it showed i had a few polyps and internal hemmorids, and  a spastic colon. My gastro said that the spastic colon is from my previous pregnancy when i told him that this has been going on from before my son.. HE totally did not listen to anything i said ! I am fustrated and pissed off. well anyway he told me the gas in my belly wil go away and DO NOT PUSH IT OUT. Well i still have the gas in my belly and i told him that i cant not push it out because it wont go out on its own. Anway when i go tto the bathroom i have this yellow discharge and some clear diahrea (earlier) the yellow discharge is still there. I dont know what it is. any ideas?

Simethicone is supposed to break up gas pockets so you can more easily expel them- how does it make you worse- that must be awful?  The fiber regime definitely can give you gas when gulped down with all that fluid, where you likely (if you are like me) ingest a bunch of air too!  You might ask your doctor (maybe a different one who actually listens better) about miralax or a generic of it like clear-lax.  My GI doctor wante me to take benefiber, but I didn't because I'd tried it before and didn't found it worked as well as what I do take.  He wanted me to do it because he feels it caused less gas.  I've heard of chewable tablets as well for fiber and might have even seen an ad for capsules of fiber once.  Getting enough fiber in the diet is preferrable to taking that sand like stuff! :0)

You have spastic colon, also known as IBS, & migraines!  It sounds like you have some autonomic dysfunction, with that combo.  I have both of those plus postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and interstitial cystitis (which it looks like a co-relation is being researched on in relation to dysautonomia) in the mix as well.  I wonder if you might have other areas of dysautonomia too!  I'm sorry you suffer from migraines- definitely NOT fun!

Did the GI specialist remove the polyps or tell you to schedule to get them surgically removed?  Because if he didn't, you need to see someone else, and this time hopefully one who listens as well!  My GI doctor considers even non-cancerous polyps (some can be cancer I believe) to be pre-cancerous and it is best to get them removed.

It is not at all uncommon to have yellow discharge with a colonoscopy clean out so I wouldn't worry about that.  I'm thinking I might remember it being explained to me (if it is mucousy) as something that naturally lines the GI tract (it comes out with the prep you did).  You will find your bowels to take a little while to get back to their old selves.

Did the doctor say not to push the gas out because he did surgically remove the polyps or because he is concerned about your hemorrhoids with pushing?  I know my GI doctor does not want me to strain at all with defecation due to sometimes bleeding, particularly with hard stool.  He wanted me take fiber therapy along with miralax or a prescription medication.  Right now, I'm taking the prescription, clearlax (miralax generic from Walmart) and fiber therapy.  I push on my abdomen to try to move air pockets myself (something you wouldn't want to do right now if you had any of those polyps removed) and also take simethicone over the counter to try to break up the gas so it can be expelled.  Doing the knee chest can sometimes help and sometimes, exercise, like jumping jacks can help.

Did the GI doctor advise you what to do for your spastic colon?  Also, I responded to a post you did in the migraenuer's support community a while back.
