Your Lucky cause mine seems useless!!
Thanks Jeff Much appreciated
I'll be sure to ask him about that on Tuesday. No problem.
He's one of the best surgeons here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Ive had the Colonoscopy twice now and the same nothing I think they just enjoy shoving things up our ***** ahha,In all seriousness you have made the decision yourself being ona site like this,Cause once dr.s tell you its IBS thats cause there stumped and blame it on that Cause now that my Gall blader is out most of my IBS symptoms are gone. So just keep asking questions Ive been doing it for 10 years now and I know quite a bit about this stuff..
Your not alone!!
Let me know what the surgeon suggests?
My surgeon is useless on giving me answers if you remember can you ask him if leaking bile out the behind if it could be related to a nicked or cut bile duct?
Chris from Canada
That was the first thing I was checked for back in September(kidney stone) (CT scan with contrast), because at times it even hurts into my back on the left side. They said it wasn't my kidneys. They told me a had small cyst on my left kidney, but it was fairly common and no big deal.
I passed a kidney stone, back about 10 years ago, and it was a similar pain, but more in the back and side when I passed the stone..
This more in the front and side, but at times it does ache in my back, too.
I know I had gall stones(ultra sound) and I had the pasty light brown stool (orange/yellow when I wipe) before I ever went into surgery.
I had some people tell me that the irritated stool was actually causing the achy/bloated feeling on my left side.
That might be it. It eases up after a bowel movement.
I'm just sort of at a stalemate right now. I go back for my 2 week check with the surgeon next Tuesday. So I guess I'll go from there.
I already have a GI so if he lays the IBS on me, then I guess I'll make a appt. with my GI for ASAP and just demand he find out what it is. Not sure what else he can do because he already did a colonoscopy and it was fine.
I'll give an update ASAP.
Thanks for the advice Royboy. It is nice to hear a success story on this forum. I will try the Food Intolerance test. It is the one test I have not had.
Hey Jeff we sound pretty much alike to our symptoms!! Glad there are some guys I can relate to on here as well. About 10 years ago I Was constantly Constipated for sometomes 5-7 days then when I went it hit like a frieght train It poured out of me, Finally they said I had IBC-C so for years I still had to deal with it,Then in the Middle of the night Pain struck me and again I thought I was bunged up I had to call 911 It was so bad I couldnt stand straight, They gave me a Muscle relaxer and the pain was gone, My dr sent me for all those tests you mentioned about and at first Nothing (You get so pissed off), Then finally the Ultrasound results came in and they actually called me into the dr's office asap They said it was my Gall Bladder, So went to see a surgeon (The Guy was so full of himself), I finally had the surgury a month later but I noticed when Iw as healing I had 5 holes in my stomach not 4 like its supposed to be!
So I made an appt with him cause I was getting the bile pouring out of like I crapped myself all the time and I asked why 5 holes, He just said oh sometimes you cant get the tools in to get the gall bladder out.The Bile problem he more or less told me I dont have and walked out of the room.
It really makes me think he did something to the bile duct and he s kinda covering it up, I hope Im wrong. Trying to go to a dr. to be sent to a specalist to get to the bottom of this!!
But my thing here is I still had the pains as well as you jeff and 3 months later the exact same pain came on and I was rushed to the hospital again and you know what was causing the pain (A 3 Millimetre Kidney Stone) Had surgury to remove it (OUCHHHHHH) threw your whatsit haha and Ive never had any pain since and even My IBS symptoms are almost gone. Just have them when Im really stressed out like now haha!. Kidney stone surgeon was talking to me about my gall bladder and we both kind of thought that was a wrong Diagnosses and my gall blader was probably fine all along!!
So Jeff maybe ask to be checked for a Kidney stone..
Chris
I will definitely try this, because I have a feeling (next Tuesday) I'm about to be dumped in the IBS category because the Docs just don't want to waste their time with it.
I have achy/bloated feeling on left side, sometimes in back. Right under my ribs and down. Loose, pasty light brown stool. Orange/yellow when I wipe.
I'm having to eat fiber like there's no tomorrow.
Ive had every test (CT scan, colonoscopy, ultra sound, x-rays, blood work, urine, etc...) multiple times on each. All came up fine, except for my gall bladder which I had removed last week.
But the doctor said that my gall bladder didn't have anything to do with my left side aching, so I can see it coming.
I look at being diagnosed with IBS like being diagnosed with ADD. Just a manufactured disease to prescribe medicine and send you on your way.
A friend of mine fried his kids brain with that ADD garbage. When all the child needed was just a little attention and love.
I'm gonna , definitely, have to try it.
