Chronic stomach problems...please help!!

Okay so for over a year and a half I have had chronic stomach problems. I can barely eat because of it, and find it hard to go out because I never know when I'm going to have a flareup, as I like to call it. It's really effecting my quality of life.

I get nauseated nearly every time I put something in my stomach, I feel full and bloated, and it's just uncomfortable. Most of the time, my stomach gurgles up air (I can't burp), especially if I'm laying on my side. I take Zantac because I get acid reflux.

Last week I had an EGD, and today I got the results back. Everything is normal, no ulcers or cancers, no H Pylori bacteria, but there was some inflammation.

Basically, I just want to hear from people who've suffered from this, or know what might be going on. I would like to compile some information to discuss with my gastrointerologist when my appointment comes up in a couple of weeks. Any opinions/ideas would be helpful!!!

Another thing to check into is food intolerances - such as gluten intolerance, casein intolerance or lactose intolerance.  For myself, gluten free eating cured most of my problems.  You can look these diets up on the computer if you'd like to give them a try.  You should try the diet for about 3 months and see if you feel better.  You might notice some relief within a few days or weeks.  Hope this helps.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I would recommend asking your doctor for a gastric emptying scan to check for gastroparesis which is slow emptying of the stomach and can cause the symptoms you describe.
