Just diagnosed with gasteritis & slight colitis

My biggest worry is my weight. I was diagnosed with colitis and gasteritis. I am 45 years old 5'4 and before all this I was 130 lbs. I know I lost maybe 10 lbs after being in the hospital for 7 days. Now it's been 3 days since I've been home and I'm still loosing weight I'm now 120. I didn't eat much in the hospital since I was on clear liquids. I am eating solids now but not much since I'm on bland. As long as I'm eating something will I keep the weight on I'm scared I'm going to keep loosing if I'm not eating higher calorie foods. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

I would keep with the bland diet for a bit longer.  They hospitalized you for 7 days?  Wow!  Gastritis and colitis are bad but I've never heard of a long hospital stay because of it.  Dietary changes overall are important.  How long do they want you to be on the bland diet and slowly incorporate foods in?

I had colonic inertia lost my colon. I would definitely suggest a colonoscopy, and a an upper and lower GI to check for blockages. You can dehydrated quickly. Ensure and other caloric drinks and Pediolight and baby food ate great ways to stay hydrated and get vitamins and nutrients to help maintain your weight
