Large, painful stool - blood

I’ve recently changed my diet and as a result I’m passing large stools - certainly feel like I’m going properly. I passed a very large stool yesterday and was unsurprised to see a small amount of blood on the outside of the stool as well as when I wiped. The stool itself was normal in colour and I’ve no other symptoms - pain, bloating etc. Can I put this down to a tear or internal haemmaroid? At what point should I get this checked, if the blood continues to appear? Assuming it resolves in a few days, should this still be checked?
