My Personal Experience with Gallbladder Surgery

I had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago.I was having a lot of problems with my stomach with multiple symtoms. Went to several different doctors that dignoised me with different things. Had an ultrasound done that showed my gallbladder was fine. I finally got insurance and they finally sent me to a GI doctor since then I have had a few endoscopys lots of blood work, x rays, and they did a HIDA scan and that's when they realized my gallbladder wasnt functioning correctly. Im still not 100% better but I made a video on my own experience on how my surgery went. Everyone is different but if you have to get your gallbladder removed or know someone who does feel free to watch my video and share your own personal experience with it or maybe it will help someone relax about getting it done.
Here is the link to my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG7WVp_O5Ss

Hi, PCS does have some of the symptoms I have had before my surgery and now. My main symptoms are nausea, acid, belching, gas pain/ pressure. The gas pressure can cause me to get heart palpations and I cant go to long without eating if I do I start feeling acidy and belching which can make me feel nasous until I eat then after I do eat I usually feel gassy. It don't seem to make a difference what I eat it just depends on my days really. Its been 3 years so If I do have PCS I would think it would of went away by now. I take Protonix but the symptoms are still here randomly thru out the day.

Hello and thanks for sharing. Postcholecystectomy syndrome (PCS), occurs after removal of the gallbladder. PCS is caused by alterations in bile flow due to the loss of the reservoir function of the gallbladder. Two types of problems may arise. The first problem is continuously increased bile flow into the upper GI tract, which may contribute to gastritis. The second consequence is related to the lower GI tract, where diarrhea and colicky lower abdominal pain can occur as the bile is continuously secreted. But these problems should settle with time. Regards.
