New stomach issues...gastritis?

I'm a 33 year old female. 3 nights ago, I was woken up by intense stomach pains (right in the bottom/center of my ribs) that felt like they were coming in waves lasting about 3-5 seconds. I was eating Gaviscon tablets all night, which helped for about 25 minutes at a time. I have absolutely NO history of stomach issues or even heartburn. I've been taking Prevacid for 2 days and its helping though I still take Gaviscon liquid in the morning and when I go to bed. Today my stomach has been making noises and when the cramps peak, there is a gurgling noise and it feels good, like pressure is being released. Any ideas what this could be or suggestions for natural remedies? I hate to be dependent on medication...

No, no, no, and no.  I have no idea what's going on because I have never experienced any stomach or digestive problems...

Is this something that has happened before? Do you usually have stomach problems, digestive problems? bloating, pain, problems going to washroom or even IBS symptoms? It could be appendix, gall bladder or a food intolerance.. did you eat something different then normal?
