PERFORMED ENEMA ON SELF TODAY>>>MUST READ!!!

A BIT CONFUSED~PLEASE RESPOND ASAP
Okay, so as you know I am experiencing some problems with my stupid coln... weak peritstaltic action or what, i don't know anymore. I have been at this problem for a good two years now, and it all started after a series of seven infections consecutively in the abcessed tooth @ that time.  i was taking massive amounts of antibiotics. One time it turned into a "superbug". Well, ever since the antibiotics (and a trip to Mexico~got sick there) two years ago, I became constipated and did not have a BM for 12 days. Its not gotten that bad, since that horrible epsiode, and there is rarely a day when at least a little something isnt produced, but it's alot less than what feels like needs to be expelled. I have changed my diet, drink more water, take acidophilius, digestive enzymes, mineral oil etc EVERY DAY... have tried colonics, retraining, cutting out wheat and dairy, exersise..I can't seem to get mt GP to write a letter to a GI to get a scope so I have been dealing with it on my own. Still my bowels have been moving very inconsistantly and VERY poorly...HOWEVER>>>>
Today i gave myself an enema. It is not something I do very often, even tho I am "constipated" often by which I mean the stool is soft, like playdough, but i have to strain to have a movement. I am confused because I ate some "marker" food yesterday. And after I completed the enema this morning and evacuated...well there was the marker. What the hell is going on? Why am i having this problem, when transit time seems very normal???? IS THIS A SIGN OF A GROWTH IN MY COLON IE CANCER!!?!?!?!?!?!?!? PLEASE ANSWER ASAP!

Well I have sought out anotehr GP as I think I stated...and I am now wating  for a barium enema.
Recently, things have gotten a bit more scary.
I have been performing enemas every 4 days (or according to how my tummy feels)
and I have seen these long ropes of mucouos, the day after.
I have been gaining weight, but in order to do that, I have to perform the enemas, or I will become constipated.
there is a "firmess" a sense of tension in my transverse colon.
I know what it is.
And I wish someone would be straight with me, and just say it.

I am a Gastric Bypass patient of  8 years now. Your diet is what is causing your weight loss. You are eating heathy foods but they are foods that is like my diet and I would even say as far as I think it is even more restrictive than mine. You cant afford to loose any more weight.  You really need to talk to a nutritionist. They have a wide array of advice to share concerning your diet that will help with your bowl issues as well. I hope I have helped even if in a very small way. I know what its like to loose too much weight and ended up with a feeding tube. Not Fun at all. good luck hun.. keep in touch!

In all honesty I would advise you to either see your current GP again and try to impress upon him your many concerns, or get a second opinion from another GP as soon as possible.  You will not have any peace of mind until you find a doctor who will listen to your problems and refer you to a gastroenterologist.  You might even try getting your own appt. with the gastro doctor...just tell his office help about your symptoms and concerns and the fact that your GP will not refer you and they may be more than willing to help.  I personally would get a second opinion from another GP first.  This is something that you need medical help for right away.  I would not do any other enemas or any kind of colon cleansing until you see a doctor.  They might be doing more harm than good.  At 5'9" and 105 lbs you cannot afford to lose any more weight. Everyone has different bowel habits and what is normal for one is not normal for the other.  If you are not eating very much then you cannot expect to have a bowel movement everyday.  My husband, believe it or not, only has a BM about every five days and he is healthy as a horse and eats big volumes of food.  I was worried about him, but his doctor said that even though it would be better if he had one at least every two or three days, that he could't find anything amiss but would advise him to start eating a large bowl of bran cereal each night as he felt he was not getting enough fiber.  He has started doing this and now most of the time he has a BM every two to three days.  Please, please find you another doctor who will take you seriously.  I wish you the best of luck and hope to hear soon that you are better.  Take care

Have you tried a good colon cleanse? Not a cheap one, but a really good one?

I am going to add a bit of reasoning at the end...if I am not passing sufficient amounts of waste...and it has been thin and pencil shaped most lately, but transit time seems normal-i saw the markers when I did the enema-it stands to reason there is a blockage and stuff is going around it. My bowels are working but there is an obstruction. Does this make sense? I was FINE last month and the month before, until I started to eat bread again...could this be the cause, if I indeed have a blockage like I have theorized? Can someone give me an educated guess? please please please. I am losing weight so fast, because nothing I eat comes out the other end, I am 5'9" and 105 lbs.
