Pain/discomfort when going to the bathroom, sometimes blood

Hi, I'm a 19 year old male btw. Everytime I go to the bathroom I have slight pain, it feels like just inside my.. um, you know, rear entry. Sometimes it can be pretty bad (rare), but mostly it's just a slight pain and more worrying than painful. This is all in about the last month or so. I've had three occassions where I had very bright red blood on the tissue. I've also had some slight itching this past week. I'm going nuts reading about all kinds of medical conditions trying to figure this out. I'm not sure if this is any relation, but I've had some yellowish stuff at the back of my tongue starting about a month ago as well. Just before my current problem began I saw a doctor because I was having a lot of gas and stomach rumbling and she just told me to take tumz, but she did do a blood test and there were no problems with that. I also asked my dentist about the yellow on my tongue and he wasn't too concerned with it, just told me to use a tongue scraper (which I do every day). Going to try to get a doctors appointment monday. As if I wasn't unhappy enough before...

I am a overall healthy 22 year old female ...and I have been dealing with the same thing except i havent really noticed the yellow tongue thing. But I have discomfort when I go to the brathroom. And just to be clear I have not had anything inserted (no anal sex or what have you) into my rear. Sometimes its very uncomfortable and sometimes not too bad but its bright red blood. So because its not a darker color I know its not from further inside my intestines, but I am not a doctor. It has been about over a year and doctors kinda give me the runaround.

Just to clarify...you did not insert any stuff in the anus (finger,, pencil, etc...). If not, then blood could be hemorrhoid swelling. If oyu have stressed during bowel movement, then occasionally blood comes due to scraping of the rectal walls. Get a colonoscopy since early detection of blood indicates preventable reasons. I am not a doctor so I would definitely seek a good internal medicine or proctologist help.

Try not to worry to much. It could be colitis, but it can also be a hemmoroid. I would talk to a GP about having a colonscopy. Blood in the stool should always be checked out. And remember IBS does NOT cause blood.

Hope you feel better soon.
