Passing gas, pain lower back (anus/tail bone)?

So I pass gas constantly everyday. Sometimes it's once every minute or so. It's just way too much. I could say it's over 100 times a day sometimes. It's not lactose, milk doesn't cause it. I also have pain around my anus/tailbone area. It hurts the most when I sit down long.

It feels like the gas builds up in this same area (my lower back right by my tail bone). This problem started after I went out of the country for 45 days. I had food poisoning twice and I was drinking hard alcohol every day. It's been about fourteen months now. I don't drink anymore and have an OK diet.

My doctor got tired of me going back. He finally told me that there was nothing else he could do about it and that if I needed mental counseling that he could refer me to someone. I wanted to punch him.

Does anybody know what condition I might have? This is driving me crazy now!!!

I have the same symptoms.  For two months I have had tailbone pain.  It hurts to sit down in right angle position especially on hard surfaces.  Also there is a lot of gas.  I suspect this is connected.  I already had x-ray done and they said mild arthritis of coccyx bones.  But I insisted on catscan because I suspect there is a mass there pushing the low intestines. I will have catscan and write again about the results.
