Pinworms or Hemorrhoids

Pinworms or Hemorrhoids?
Hello. I had been infected with pinworm for the third time. I am a bad nail biter, but has vowed to stop. The first two times being 4 years ago, but I recently visited a daycare for volunteering 5 weeks ago and a two weeks ago I felt my first symptom of pinworm (anal itching that is more like an intense sensation). The feeling is very distinct, so I forced myself to go to the restroom and the worm appeared on my stool. Immediately, the next morning I bought two bottles of Reese's Pinworm Medicine and had everyone in my family treated, including myself, along with washing all sheets, clothes, and I remained inactive for a few days.

The next night I felt the sensation once more, but a lot lighter than the night before. The first two times I received the parasite, I took the medicine and I was fine, but this time, being older (I'm 18 now), I was more paranoid. Throughout the week my OCD kicked in and along with the medication I ingested around 12 cloves of garlic over a 4 day span, along with taking bowel cleansers and wormwood/black walnut extract in water for 3 days. A week passed after the second night and I felt no more sensations. However, my anus became irritated and I had soft stools and diarrhea. The carried over for the week and I ended up traveling to the North for a family vacation that Friday. The previous friday was when I felt my first symptom.

Up North, I began feeling more irritation, and now itchiness on the sides of my anus opening. This occured throughout the day and tended to go away when I was active, but became noticable when I was resting or relaxing. The itching was not intense, but it was also a different type of itch than the pinworm one. Coupled with the irritation, I felt the constant feeling of having to excrete but I couldn't go when I tried. That next Friday, I took the Pinworm medication again at the 2 week period. I later examined my anus opening and noticed 3 or 4 blue lumps about the size of a pea around my anus, and yellow residue in the inside when examined with a flashlight. I suspected hemorrhoids, and began applying Preparation H. I returned home 10 days after originally leaving, so I'm assuming the pinworm eggs have died and with the second dosage, the monsters won't be returning. The irritation has calmed down slightly, but I still feel a sensation from time to timethroughout the day, as if something is thumping or going in and out of my anus. Being paranoid from my previous 3 pinworm experiences, I can't get a peace of mind.

I search the Internet constantly for different in pinworm itching and hemorrhoid itching, and the Internet fails at answering my question. My 3 experiences with pinworm never resulting in the anal skin itching, just inside the anus itching. What I'm experiencing now is different. So, is there a difference in the types of itching between the two?

Another reason why I've had no peace of mind is that I haven't felt relief in my anal area since my first symptom of the pinworm a few weeks ago. Is it possible that one can be strikin with hemorrhoids immediately after pinworm treatment?

In all honesty, the suspected hemorrhoids do not hurt at all. only itching very minorly occasionally but I do feel like I have to deficate all the time, although I dont. But, I just need a peace of mind, because if I only have hemorrhoids, I'd be extremely happy. I'm very sick and tired of those little demons. I know they are harmless, but after 3 times of dealing with their embarrasment and the OCD issue of knowing there's a creature roaming inside your colon and anus is just too much to live a normal life. I'm very clean, but I've had a problem with nail-biting. I've stopped since the symptom, and vow to stop completely. I get embarrassed around my girlfriend, friends, and I just don't act normal. The Internet doesn't provide much relief.

So please, I would like an intelligent, experienced person to please help clear things up for me and answer my question. My doctor told me to just take the medicine like I did and they should be gone, and hemorrhoids with preparation H, but my biggest fear is that I still have the pinworm. I'm not worried about reinfecting myself with the eggs, I'm very cautious with my hands and mouth. However, I have two younger teenage siblings and a 5 year old sibling, but I had them all take the medicine 2 and a half weeks ago, so I'm suspecting we are in the clear. Except me. Please help me out, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks.

Also: We just got a puppy a few days ago. He's adorable, but a vet examined his poop and found he has hookworms, whipworm, and another worm, which I know can infect humans. Are the chances of infection high? As long as I don't eat his poop my family and I should be fine, right?

ATTENTION ANYONE EXPERIENCE ITCHING:

You have parasites! Almost 95% of people have some sort of parasite. These parasites breed, and make hundreds to thousands of eggs per day! Sugars, natural or artificial, seem to feed the parasites, creating candida. If you have allergies or suffer from post-nasal drip  (like I do), and have the sensation of mucus or "something stuck in the back of your throat", these are parasites "coming down to feed" on the sugars, dairy, and other mucus-forming foods you consume.

Let me list the ailments I’ve noticed, just in my own health struggles, over the last 20+ years: dry, itchy scalp (NOT dandruff, but I NOW know they’re demodex mites), thinning hair (or bald spots), allergies, sinus issues (PND), “cluster” and migraine headaches, eye floaters, visual disturbances, acne, occasional lesions, occasional ringworm & small white spots that appear randomly over the body (caused by what I NOW know is a skin fungus), easy bruising, anemia, constant weight gain (even when not eating much), itchy skin (especially on the lower legs), abdominal pain/gas/boating/IBS symptoms, vaginal/rectal itching (especially at night), depression/mood swings/memory lapses, body odor/bad breath, and nail fungus.

Most of the time, these parasites are "stealing" the nutrients from your foods, to feed and protect themselves in your body, leading to issues like abdominal discomfort, IBS/Crohn's, Diabetes, Anemia, easy bruising, Cancer, and other ailments.

Unless you go to a holistic or naturopathic doctor, your stool samples, and other blood tests will MAGICALLY turn up "negative". WHY YOU ASK??? Because the medical profession NEEDS you to keep coming in for unnecessary tests and medications, TO KEEP YOU SICK! It's more profitable for the FDA and Big Pharma, to keep one believing that something is wrong with them (whether gastro issues, psych issues, or other more serious illnesses and diseases), than to CURE YOU of your issues!!

I have parasites. LOTS OF THEM! I have been to several doctors that just write off anything you say, but are quick to order medications and other unnecessary (expensive) tests that DON'T WORK! I'm also a nurse (for over 35 years), and don't take one's word as gospel, until AFTER I do my own research.

In my research, I found an interesting link between parasites, an overabundance of candida, and various health issues. I’m an avid gardener, love sushi, grew up eating pork products, have always had pets (that I kissed often, and allowed on my bed regularly), had pinworms as a child (that I THOUGHT had been treated), and as an Emergency Room nurse, tended not to eat the best diet (I’ll admit). Yep, I fit the bill for parasite infestation.
I decided (after the last physician treated me like I was ignorant) to order natural supplements (from Amazon) to rid myself of any parasites. BTW, don’t bother buying anything for a candida cleanse (like I did) because until you rid the body of parasites, the candida won’t be eliminated. This candida buildup creates the “perfect storm” for various diseases and illnesses, including cancers, diabetes, lupus, multiple sclerosis, IBS, Crohn’s disease, yeast infections, etc.

I ordered Dr. Clark's Super W Blend (which contains Wormwood, a POWERFUL anti-parasitic); Organic Cloves; and GREEN Black Walnut Hulls TINCTURE (Black Walnut Hulls capsules are fine, but the liquid GREEN Black walnut TINCTURE is far more effective. TRUST ME ON THIS).

I kid you not; by the second day, I passed worms. Clear, (sometimes white) stringy worms (pinworms) and tons of egg larvae, were in my stools. And, my stools were NORMAL stools; I wasn’t having diarrhea or constipation. Just an incredible urge to go to the bathroom! Sometimes, I went to the bathroom more than 4 times a day! The Super W Blend and Green Black walnut tincture kills the adult worms, and the Cloves kill any egg larvae.

I couldn't believe my eyes! But I was even more focused to get these things out of my body! I even brought in a stool sample that anyone, even those with slight intelligence, could glance at quickly, and KNOW something was wrong. But guess what?? The tests for Ova & Parasites, came back negative. WTF??

So I stopped going to doctors, because I now KNOW what the real deal is. If you want to rid yourself of these issues, you must be PROACTIVE in YOUR OWN HEALTHCARE!!

I will say that once you start this protocol, YOU MUST CONTINUE AT ALL COSTS! If you stop, the parasites regroup, and you experience even MORE issues!  I must tell you, however, that you’ll feel worse before you feel better. I went through the sensation of “things crawling all over my body”. These are the parasites knowing they’re under attack, dying, and releasing their toxins, which poison the blood and leads to intense night sweats, increased body odor/bad breath, and insomnia (especially between the hours of 2-3am). You may have also noticed these worms become MORE ACTIVE around the time of the full moon. For the sinus/PND issues, I also added Oil of Oregano capsules; take 1 capsule 3x/day. For immediate relief of that sensation of “something stuck in the back of my throat”, I break one of the capsules in my mouth, and allow the oil to slowly go down my throat. The oil burns, but it kills worms “coming down to feast”. NEVER swallow the mucus! Cough it up and spit it out! Swallowing the mucus (which contain worms & their larvae) goes to your intestines, to begin their lifecycle all over again!

Stay away from any sugars (even natural sugar), dairy, grains, white flour, white rice, white bread (they convert to sugar in the body, thus feeding the parasites), and any mucus-causing foods, as much as you possibly can. Buy Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth, and put 1 TBSP in water (or another drink) and have that once or twice per day. Be SURE to drink PLENTY of fluids afterwards, as DE tends to constipate you. The DE are tiny, microscopic fresh water diatoms, that under a microscope looks like Chex mix; their edges are sharp, and shred the parasite’s body, rendering them helpless (or killing them), so they can be easily flushed from the body with the other products mentioned earlier. The DE also has other benefits: can be used in a home-made toothpaste (to re-mineralize teeth); for pest control (in and outside of the home, so lose your pest control company fees ☺); can be mixed into pet’s food to kill parasites in their bodies, as well as rubbed into their coats to kill fleas and other parasites, amongst other benefits!

****FOR THE ITCHING: Tea Tree Oil body washes! I run a bath (with the water as hot as I can stand), put a few squirts of this into my water (along with Epsom salt, I find parasites cannot stand this!) and sit/soak for at least 20 minutes. NO MORE ITCHING (for that day at least). Change all bed linens and wash your clothes daily. Vacuum resting spaces DAILY. DO NOT KISS, or allow pets onto your bed. Be sure to treat EVERYONE in your household, as its more than likely, they’re infected too.

This is working for me. I hope and pray that this helps others.

I can confirm that you can indeed get hemorrhoids right after pinworms as I've had chronic hemorroids all my life and can feel the difference. I recently had a pinworm infection and could tell it wasn't hemorroids and that was how I knew I had them in the first place. I'm over the worms now but I have hemorroids again from the strain caused by the frequent diarrhea that pinworm cause as well as from the irritation caused by the females' egg laying habits. The Pinworms, although still painful, seemed less painful and more just itchy than the hemorroids, while hemorroids are a lot more painful. Also the blue bits are blood vessel from hemorroids and likely do not contain worms unless you are still infected and they are actively laying eggs.

It sounds like you have hemorrhoids because when your anal skin was healing from the diarrhea, you became worried about a reinfestation of pinworms and frequently tried to "force" your BM's. This resulted in the pea-sized blue blood vessels (AKA hemorrhoids) to protrude. The thumping sensation is the blood moving in the hemorrhoid. You might try getting some KY jelly on a finger and pushing the hemorrhoids back inside. Frequently this will solve the issue if you dont bare down too hard with your BM.

Hi! just gotta say that i'm experiencing the exactly same thing as u mentioned above.
I got pinworms this fall and started to treat em. about now i feel like i've rid em from my colon because i don't have those "crawling" feelings anymore and i cant see any in my stools. However i still feel like there's something there. Throughout the day i get these minor but still noticeable "pinches". Mostly as i lie down or sit, and i just get the feeling that they're still there.

"Up North, I began feeling more irritation, and now itchiness on the sides of my anus opening. This occured throughout the day and tended to go away when I was active, but became noticable when I was resting or relaxing. The itching was not intense, but it was also a different type of itch than the pinworm one. Being paranoid from my previous 3 pinworm experiences, I can't get a peace of mind. "

this part is exactly how i feel and i also have those blue pea-size lumps u are talking about.
I believe that there might be pinworms inside these lumps that casue this tingling sensation.  I've red alot of threads on this subject and i can see that theres alot of other people that has this symptoms aswell.

anyway, i saw that this post was a couple years old and i wondered if u have found any solution to your problem? :)

First, go back and see your doctor and explain to him you still have some symptoms like pinworms, and tell him how your puppy had worms.  Also, buy some clear plastic "gloves" that come in a box, put them on whenever you are treating your pinworms.  To clean up doggie poop, we always use two normal grocery plastic bags, put your hand in it, grab up the poo, put it in the toilet and flush, then turn the bags inside out and put in the trash.  Wash your hands with some alcohol and regular soap.

While you wait to see your doctor, get some plain KY jelly (not the flavored kinds), it's in a blue and white tube at the pharmacy, and after each bath or shower, put a pretty good amount on your rear, it will prevent chaffing, which is what I believe you are experiencing now.

The main three things to have normal digestion and thus prevent hemorrhoids from straining with constipation, are these:  Exercise regularly, drink plenty of water, eat enough fiber foods daily (to include oat cereal, whole wheat bread, colorful salads, fresh or frozen vegies cooked).  Also, get Acidophilus milk or Activia yogurt from the grocery, consume for two weeks, it helps keep intestinal flora normal, which helps break down waste.

It is very easy to stop chewing your nails:  There is a product you can buy in a little bottle, you put a few drops on your fingers and it makes them taste horrible.  You can accompany this with getting some beads, like a cheap plastic neclace with round plastic balls on it, and use them as "worry beads" until you quit chewing on them.  You are at the age that you must quit chewing on them.  Get a nice fingernail kit and trim them with clippers, smooth rough edges with a fingernail file, and then wash the equipment and your fingers well when done with your nail care.

By the way, your OCD symptoms can be controlled by lots of exercise that makes you sweat, it releases tension in the body.  Even just a simple, long walk thru the neighborhood will cause your mind to click into another gear, where you are relaxed and enjoying the outdoors.  Some people will also put a couple rubber bands around their wrists to treat all sorts of "habits," and whenever they get all obsessed about something, they'll snap those bands and that will help you stop worrying about everything.

Another solution is the moment you realize you are obsessing, redirect your attention to another activity.  It is important for obsessed people to have a creative outlet, because you can focus in a positive way on something, work it right down to the nub, and you'll get your obsession "fix" and be less likely to get all worked up about stuff after you've enjoyed your creative outlet...I like the paint program on PCs, I like Soduku puzzles.  Also, do not do things at a dead run; you instead must live life more slowly, I don't care what schedule you're keeping up with and so forth, you gotta learn to relax with things, cut unnecessary stuff out of your busy day, and for gosh sakes just live.  You can also get treatment from a psychologist group practice or county clinic, they can give you tranquilizers or other medications to help you with it.
