Possibly candidia or ??

I just got married 4 months ago. We honeymooned in jamaica and had a great time. The day we arrived back home we noticed a large lump on my head. It grew rapidly and had a large opening about the size of a dime and swelled about the size of my fist. It drained. I had fevers, exhaustion, pain and then all my lymph nodes swelled esp in my face and neck; they were huge. I was in the ER twice and they said it was some sort of infected bug bite. I will probably never know. They had me on 2 different kinds of antibiotics. I had fainting spells, dizzyness etc.... eventually the lump went away, then the swollen lymph nodes went down. I was on strong antibiotics for 21 days. I had uncontrollable cravings for sugar, soda, ice cream, etc... and I indulged in all of them. Then I started having yeast infection type symptoms; like itching, burning but no discharge. i was put on Diflucan and also did 2 rounds of monistat. I vomited from time to time and was exhausted and felt run down. I did 4 rounds of diflucan (4 weeks) and nothing changed. I developed a swollen raised red rash from my vagina all the way up my crack, sorry to be crass. It felt like someone scrubbed my with sand paper and was raw and painful. I was given an anti fungal cream and told to eat yogurt and lay off sweets. I did. I ate 4 things of yogurt a day. No changes. so I went to a health food store and they told me some things to take. I am now taking oregano oil, probiotics, and olive leaf and eating NO sugar. At first I got much much bettter. ..continued....

Good.  Yeah, some malaria type guy... I think insect-borne disease specialists, which because I am dim-witted in my older age, I can't think of the exact name of those docs.  Hope things improve for you, very worrisome about that bug bite.

Thank you so much for responding; I will talk with my husband on this. I think you are right it is time for a specialist. Yesterday and today I am having swelling in my face; especially around my eyes and they are painful. My cheeks are both a bit swollen and red. Not sure if this is more symptoms or a reaction to the herbal things that I have started taking; but I am stopping them to be safe. Thanks again I appreciate it.

I've read both your posts.  I have two suggestions.

There is a good chance that if your husband is using latex condoms, this can create your symptoms.  If so, then once he switches and you're left with waiting for your rash to go away, you can get a "diaper rash" ointment or cream from the baby department in the drugstore, and put it on the rash.  You need to also eat plenty of protein, drink some extra water, and take hot baths every day for a week.  And every time you have sex with your husband, use KY jelly with nothing else in it, to lubricate the area.

It is also possible you have a sexually transmitted disease, some are quite mild and can produce some of your symptoms, and can be easily treated.  So, you should go to your county health department clinic, and get tested for ALL of the STDs.  If you come up positive on one, then of course your husband needs to be tested and treated, also.  In the U.S., 25 million people have those types of diseases, so it's really not particularly ominous, and neither you nor your husband should feel badly about the situation.  These things happen, we're only human.

I don't know who this gynecologist or physician is that you're seeing, but I find it very troublesome that you have this horrible and strange rash going on, not to mention all the other symptoms, and yet they haven't sent you to a specialist who knows about possibly a systemic deal spreading from from that bug bite, that may have made you a whole lot sicker than just the local head and lymph node problems, and THAT needs to be looked into.  Your immune system could be failing, and any and all bacteria can just waltz right in and ruin your health, with of course dark, damp places will be their first entry point.
