Racing heart while eating

It feels like I get short of breath and my heart pounds while I'm eating. My blood pressure and pulse is normal when these symptoms are going on. After lying down and passing gas it seems to get better.

I've been to every specialist under the sun and many, many tests with no answers. This is debilitating, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi.  So, it is hard to believe a doctor wouldn't have told you this but a racing heart can also be termed a heart palpitation.  And things that cause that can be dietary in nature.  Examples are a heavy carb loaded meal, foods with msg or sodium, fats and sugar can all cause palpitations.  Stress can as well.  Do you now have a cycle of eating and then stressing?  Do you keep a food journal?

This may help you as it has information palpitations and specifically mentions food related.  https://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/guide/what-causes-heart-palpitations#1
Thanks for your help specialmom. I've seen multiple cardiologist, holter monitor, admitted to the hospital and monitored for weeks, multiple GI doctors and exams. Everyone is stumped, been going on for almost 9 months now. :(
That's really frustrating!  So, what about starting a journal of food you eat and see if there is any pattern?  I'd do that if I were you.  You seem to be in a holding pattern now and you may actually find this is your body's reaction to the food you eat.
It's kept me mostly bed ridden and on disability. I've kept a journal, done a food allergy test, and changed my diet many times. When I'm on clear liquids only is the only time I don't feel in terrible pain. It almost feels like when food is in my esophagus that my heart starts acting up but no hernia or any signs of anything gi or heart related.
