Random nausea + shakes for only 10 minutes?

I'm 14. I went to bed at about 11:30 last night. I woke up at 1:05 am feeling severley nauseous and I had the shakes. I turned on the TV because it usually distracts me when I feel nauseous/sick. It lasted about 10 minutes until dying down and I fell asleep. That was it. I feel fine today except I have emtophobia (phobic of throwing up) so I'm kinda nervous I'm getting sick. I had a cold this week and a little bit right now (coughing). So is it my menstrual cycle? (I have not gotten it but I have had symptoms). Should I be worried I'm sick?

*PS I'm underweight for my age...but only by a little.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  If this just happened this one time I don't think you have anything to worry about.  If this continues to happen though, I would recommend that you see a doctor.

Also I forgot to mention: my dad said the nausea could have been from the salsa I had last night before bed. But he didn't know why I would have the shakes.
