Oh, alright.  Sorry, I misunderstood.  Scleroderma does often involve the esophagus and if that is happening, then yes, dilation may be an appropriate treatment.  When do you next see your doctor?

Hello and welcome the forum.  We are sorry about your difficulty and health concern. Scleroderma is hard to deal with.  When did you have the esophageal dilation done?  It is not uncommon to have a mild sore throat the first few days after the dilation.  How long it has been would be very helpful to know. For those reading, this is information on scleroderma.   https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/scleroderma/symptoms-causes/syc-20351952      Scleroderma is group of rare diseases that involve the hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues and can involve the esophagus.

I would recommend calling your doctor about the difficulty swallowing.  Let us know how you are doing.
