Biopsies

Hi all. Got results from my biopsies taken in endoscopy. The results stated mild chronic inflammation with mild gastritis. Glandular polyp in the bottom(bed) of stomach.

Is this polyp dangerous?? Will they remove it ?

Gastric polyps are found in approximately 6% of upper gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures in the United States. Most stomach polyps are not cancerous, but there are some types that have a higher risk to turn into cancer. This was the biopsy . The upper GI report stated " there is presence of 2 cystic polyps and biopsies were taken (2)"

After a biopsy, the samples are sent to another doctor (pathologist) who will analyze the specimens without a microscope (gross description) and with a microscope (microscopic description). This usually takes a few days. After you receive the pathology report, you can post what it says here and we can help you to interpret it.
