Should I get this checked out?

My list of symptoms:
Abdominal cramping
Bloating
Diarrhea, at least once a week
Softer/looser stool multiple times a week
Floating stool 5 out of 7 days
Very gassy in mornings
Built up gas throughout day
Bloating
Occasional nausea after eating
Food not completely digested in stools
Sometimes I eat and have to have a BM within 10 minutes of finishing food
This one is embarrassing, but during sex I have pain in my abdomen region
Dull pain under rib cage semi close to bellybutton
Sharp pain in right lower abdomen when press down, but it's not all the time
Nausea when I wake up
Extremely hungry upon waking up, not sure if that one is normal

When I was 16 (I'm 22 now) I started seeing a pediatric gastroenterologist. It started because one day out of nowhere I had extreme abdominal pain that was sharp and stuck around for a couple hours, went to urgent care and apparently I had a lot of gas/stool build up. The dr had me take magnesium citrate to clean it out then referred me to a specialist. I had a colonoscopy, HIDA scan, tested for celiac's, and I think that's all. Everything came back normal, and these were all done over a period of time once one test showed nothing. I had my 2nd colonoscopy at 18 or 19, which was normal once again, then I had to stop seeing him because I was no longer pediatric. I started seeing an OB/GYN and looking into cysts/endometriosis. I had an ultrasound on my lower abdomen/pelvic region and the dr said he felt I definitely had some sort of colon issue because I had so much gas built up. Had an exploratory surgery and no cysts or endometriosis.

It sounds like you have some pockets of diverticulosis which is common but a gastro doc should be able to tell you if surgery is necessary to correct your issues.

When diverticulosis becomes enflamed (food trapped in a pocket) it can be very painful and your doc would prob put you on Flagyl and Cipro until the inflammation went down.

Good luck!
