Make sure you eat 4 nutritious items 4 times a day. Get three pillows and sleep elevated. Use natural detox items of citrus etc. Take b12 and vit c everyday. Have them check you for hpylory in your stomach. Watch what your boyfriend does when he visits. Dosing sugar creamor foods you use everyday. Check your tongue for scaly white. Sleep good at night with mood music. Do not drink alcohol but plenty of sealed water and single use fruit drinks.
Thats terrable that yours is only a 9% and their not doing a thing about it. If they have the test results they should be able to just use it and be able to take your gallbladder out. I still have problems but Im a lot better then what I was and not being able to absorb vitimins right can also make you extremely sick as well. When I had my gallbladder over the years I thought I was dieing or had something seriously wrong with me.I went thru so many regular doctors but since I had no insurance they wouldnt even reffer me to a GI doctor. It got so depressing and frusterating. Seems like if you have no insurance they dont care they just keep giving out acid reducers that dont do much so were left suffereing. Back when I was so sick and finally got insurance they wouldnt even pay for Nexium. So I was stuck with taking the cheap over the counter acid reducers. Luckly a few months after I got insurance my GI doctor did the HIDA scan and seen my GB wasnt functioning right so I got it taken out. I know I will probably always have some stomach problems but Im just so thankful Im doing a lot better then how I use to be. I think getting your GB would probably help you a lot. You may still need to take your acid reducers like I do but I think it would help a lot of your symptoms. I think the probiotics my GI doctor just recently recommended is really starting to help me a lot.
Thank you so much for responding. You have helped me a great deal. The last time I had a HIDA scan, my GB was operating at 9%. Since I lost my insurance, I could never get another one done. Every doctor, including my GI doctor who did the original HIDA, refuses to do another one because they don't seem to see the problem as significant enough although I am barely functional. One thing I noticed is I cannot digest fats--good or bad like avocado to olive or coconut oil, fried foods, now even rice. Still can't get any real help from an MD, specialist to take that seriously.
Like you, I can get severely sick refluxing, stomach burning, etc. everyday. I am out of tricks like baking soda water to treat it. Five years on Nexium and every other PPI have made me worse because I can't digest properly at all. At least stopping those eliminates some other side effects. Like you, I cannot absorb vitamins or the nutrition from foods but I have read so many people like me who did the GB surgery and didn't get better so I am very wary of that. Like you, I have gastritis, acid reflux diagnoses, and ultrasounds that do not show stones. No one seems to take these seriously.
Hopefully, by January of next year, we will all be able to have insurance and get better treatment that can lead to a resolution as good as yours. Again, I thank you so much for sharing. This helps me (and will likely help others to come) so much. I am SO glad you have better people and health in your life :).
Hello, No my doctor never did tell me what I tested positive for after I had my Endoscopy and biopsy done. I know i was tested for H Pylori several times it was always negative they always just assumed I had acid reflux and gasteritis because all the other doctors would do is blood work and I did get an ultrasound but that never showed anything because I didnt have gallstones. I had the pain randomly since I was 17 and then I just got severely sick over time everyday so once I finally got insurance I got reffered to a GI doctor told him everything and after he did my upper endoscopy and it came back positive he decided to do a HIDA scan on my gallbladder which came back positive because my gallbladder was not functioning right and its what was making me so sick and get that random severe pain and where I couldnt absorb my vitimins right. My BF is also suffereing from the exact same symptoms I use to have and he has no insurance so once he gets insurance hes going to get a GI doctor to get a HIDA scan like I did. Thanks for your reply and concern I apprecate it. If you have any ofther questions you can message me.
Hello Curly 03,
I'm not janeybugs but I just came across your original post. I'm so glad you wrote an update just minutes ago because I was so worried about what became of your situation. It is wonderful that your life has improved so much. Congratulations.
Do you remember what your stomach tested positive for? Did you have H Pylori or some other bacteria? How did the doctors decide you needed to get your GB removed? If you can answer, myself and others will surely benefit from it. Again, congratulations on your great improvement.
Hi I know its been a few years since I wrote all that and you may not ever see this but just wanted to update you. Im doing a lot better nowdays. I never took my ex back I was strong enough to stay away from him. It made me grow up a lot and now my heart is fully healed and I have a great man that I dont have to worry about cheating on me or lieing and who is better to my son then my ex was. I got my gallbladder taken out Feb 2011 and continued with my b12 shots till it got caught up and it all helped a lot. My symptoms went away. Its amazing what a vitimin defficency can do. I still take an acid reducer for my stomach and I just recently started taking a probiotic for my stomach and its really helped me out a lot. Things have really looked up for me since then. If you ever read this I hope things are going well for you. Take care.
I feel so bad for you. You have to take care of yourself and your son and let the stress of your relationship with your boyfriend ease up. Stress only makes stomach problems worse and you do not need any more pain. Time will heal your broken heart. Concentrate on yourself and getting well enough to enjoy your life with your son. I wish you the best for 2011. I truly hope you can heal physically and emotionally.
