Symptomatic but Drs say everything is fine. Confused...

Hey all, I just wanted to get some feedback from some fellow ppl who may suffer from similar symptoms. I had an endoscopy and flex sigmoidoscopy on the 18th of June and drs said everything looked normal, that in fact there weren't even any signs of acid erosion anywhere nor any amount of acid sitting there. I was/am totally shocked. Since I was sixteen I've suffered from ulcer-type pain and have taken prilosec to the pt that it helps a little but not always. I've also had IBS symptoms for a while and it looks as though this may be the gastro culprit. Still, i don't have any explanation for the occassional vomiting i have, which occurs in the mornings prior to eating (usually) and consists of only bile. Is there a condition that would cause vomiting of bile if I have not eaten? This seems to be the only time it occurs but the dr said he doesn't know. any helpful info???

thanks! Actually, before the procedure they did an ultrasound to check gallbladder, kidneys and liver and it was fine. So...i just think it's weird. I just can't associate the vomiting with anything other than an empty stomach (i'm doing the hcg diet right now so can't drink milk but had this problem before that as well). Coudl I have an "infection in my guts" and not know it? I mean..is that like a parasite or something??

Looks like they would have given you an ultrasound to check your gallbladder and associated ducts.  Try a little alka seltzer when you get that stomach pain, and before you go to bed at night drink a half glass of milk.  But you'll have to go back to a different doc since yours isn't responding to the waaaay abnormal vomiting of bile.  They should also draw blood on you and make sure you don't have an infection in your guts for some reason.  You could go to the county health department as a walk-in and they can do the labs and order an ultrasound for you right away.
