Time for a surgical consult?

I began having symptoms typically associated with gallbladder malfunction 6 months ago which have persisted. I have had one other bout with symptoms the year prior which lasted about two weeks.  Symptoms include intermittent upper right abdominal pain (stabbing) at the edge of the ribcage, pain at the right or in between shoulder blades, globus, pressure behind the sternum, and belching.  I have undergone ultrasound, a CT of the chest and abdomen, HIDA scan, EGD, esophogeal manometry, and a 24 hour pH study.  The CT report mentioned some fullness around the pancreas (nothing of note per the gastro doc), but otherwise all tests were normal per a gastroentrologist to whom I was referred.  I have been a healthy 31yo female up to this point.  The symptoms have caused me loss of sleep as the symptoms seem most prevelant at night. I also have become less physically active since running creates more intense pain at that right edge of my ribcage. My mother underwent tests when she experienced similar symptoms that were all also considered normal.  It was not discovered until removal that her gallbladder had adhesions that were causing her trouble.  Should I ask for a surgical consult at this point?  I really feel like it might be the right idea.

good good- mine was 21- and I had mine removed I also had stones that showed on ultra- sound - I have multiple tummy issues but i am much improved- just not PERFECT

I actually had such terrible smelling gas I left my own bedroom- My husband went with me for GI consult and insisted gallbladder tests be done even though excessive belching and intestinal gas was considered atypical symptoms- and like I said ejection fraction and ultra sound showed I was IN NEED of surgery- so

Do you have a big mean looking man to take along with you for intimidation.....?

The ejection fraction was calculated at 55% which is just about middle of the road.  I just got my hands on the copy of the CT report which the gastro had read in front of me to begin with and said it was nothing.  The report says there is slight fullness to the pancreatic head and that the enhancement is in contact with the liver....and that the plance between the liver and pancreas is difficult to distinguish. Although the gastro and my primary were comfortable with the report - It kind of freaks me out.

I posted over on the expert forum and Dr. Pho agreed that a surgical consult would be a logical move.
