Trouble swallowing

Sometimes when I swallow food it seems to get stuck or go slowly down my esophogus? I know this is not Gerd, because I don't have anything coming back up and their is no burning. It almost feels like I'm choking.
This usually lasts just a few minutes and the problem just goes away.
Any ideas on what this might be??  Thanks.

I had the same swallowing problem and the Doctor said  that my esophagus was going into spasms. The problem went away after they put me on belladonna an antispasmodfic.

This still might be GERD. Many have non-traditional symptoms such as a lack of well-known 'heartburn' symptom. And food doesn't have to come back up if someone has GERD. If you're having a feeling on 'stuck in the esophagus,' check with your doc. It could be due to reflux into the esophagus that can cause issues with movement of food throught the esophagus, or problems with the muscular contractions of the esophagus. In some cases there can be stricture formation in the esophagus that can retard movement of food.
