Upper gi procedure-endoscopy

I had an endoscopy on Tuesday, all in all it went very smoothly. The doctor was very professional and has been performing this type of procedure for lots of years. I was given lots of sedation due to my panic and anxiety disorder, so this is day two and i feel pretty bad, it feels like im coming down with a virus or flu, no energy, red eyes.. Im wondering is this because of all of the medication they gave me to calm me down? Or is this the sign of an oncoming infection due to the procedure?

Thanks for your reply, but it actually took me four days to get passed the anesthesia. I was almost afraid that I would never feel better, but it all worked out. Thanks again

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  The medications they give you can definitely cause you to feel groggy the next day.  However, if this continues I would recommend following up with your doctor.
