What is a “peripherally enhancing 3.2 cm lesion?”

I had a CT scan which stated the following: “Liver: The previously seen peripherally enhancing 3.2 cm lesion in the left hepatic lobe (section Ivb) demonstrates increased T2 signal and nodular peripheral enhancement.”  What does that mean?
My liver panel came back with two abnormal results.  They were AST (SGOT) 173 IU/L (normal range is 0-40); and ALT (SGPT) 364 IU/L (normal range is 0-44).

Thank you in advance!
