White mucus in stool?

For the last 3ish months I have had white mucus in my stool. Most prominent in the first stool of the day. Its either mixed in with the first piece or it's on the outside and it is freaking me out.

I have bloods and stool sample to do at my doctors, but until then I would really appreciate some piece of mind that this is likely not serious because at the moment I'm terrified I have cancer.

I sometimes feel like I have rectal pressure, particularly just before I have to go, or if there is a gas build up. I do seem to be more gassy than usual lately. I could be imagining this, I'm hyper focused on my bowel movements at the moment.

I used to get some fresh blood when I wiped a long while back, much longer ago than the mucus started appearing but it was always fresh and I'd been to my doctor before about it and he said it was just a tear etc. But that was years ago.
