Yellow stool causes ?

About 3 weeks ago I started having a change in stool I had a few days where I had frequent bulky pale colored stool .the. It was more of a yellowish color , soft small pieces. Like borderline diahrea . Then I had a week of normal colored stools. The last three days back to yellowish , and soft consistency . The last thing I ate before it started again was pizza. They have been occasionally floating stools as well . Tests I've had in the last few months for digestive related issues - colonoscopy with biopsies , celiac test, cmp, hepactic liver function panel , CT scan , H pylori stool test .. I have no idea where to go next or if I should leave it alone ? Beginning to think the doctor thinks I'm crazy . I also experience foul smelling gas off and on . No real pain to speak of . I also have GERD , not sure if that applicable here but thought I'd mention it .I am 31 male. Sometimes the urge to go hits me out of nowhere..any help is greatly appreciated !

Hello and welcome to MedHelp.  We'll never think you are crazy for questioning your health here!  Since you have had these tests, I assume you are seeing a gastroenterologist? This would be the best specialty for you.  Have you had your stools checked themselves?  I know collecting a sample isn't the most joyful experience but it can then be used to look for parasites such as giardia. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/giardia-infection/symptoms-causes/syc-20372786  Foul smelling gas and changes in stool patterns (and often yellow, soft stools) are symptoms.

Here is a list of things that may cause yellow stools. https://www.healthline.com/health/digestive-health/yellow-stool#causes.  One thing on the list is actually stress.  It can affect the absorption of nutrients leading to the yellow stool color.

Other things on the list that may be examined for you are issues with your pancreas and gallbladder.  Your liver as well. There is something also called Gilbert Syndrome that is related to the liver.

So, please continue to look for answers.  You are your own health advocate and we are here to help you however we can.

Thank you very much for the response . You mentioned gall bladder and pancreas , would the liver function panel I did show any issues with the pancreas ?
The liver function panel wouldn't give a diagnostic picture of he pancreas.  For pancreatic testing, often a medical history exam takes place and then if warranted, a fecal fat test may be done through stool sample.  They can do other stool sample tests.  I believe you are at the point in which you are going to have to retrieve a sample and have it analyzed.  Get instructions from  your doctor for this.
