an abscess developing a fistula?

What is generally done for an abscess developing a fistula?

It can be treated with antibiotics or sometimes it needs to be lanced so it can drain.

Sorry I didn't mention it lanced itself and is draining now for about 1.5 weeks.  We are keeping it clean with Hydrogen Peroxide and baths with Epson Salts.  If it is a fistula, what then.  Thank you for responding.
