are the profesional belchers and burpers still out there

just read through the looooooong thread on this problem.
Have any of you had any breakthroughs?
Some mentioned getting together as a group. Is there one yet if yes would love to be involved.
My partner has had this for around 6months. it is worse when he is sitting down. pain behind sternum and in the corresponding position on his back. Last time he saw a doctor he was 8 and had tonsils removed.
So he is not a hyperch. By 46 he also knows what normal belching is vs excessive. Today a doctor poked his sternum a bit and his back, said cough and then said you are in great health -- just take some gaviscon - medical advice that a 6 year old would be smart enough to give!
All family doctors should be forced to read this site on the subject. Jeez i feel like an expert myself after reading it.
Is there like a facebook burp and belch page that people can join just to get a better idea of numbers of people suffereing from this. Then it is something we could more easily draw more medical attention to?
If anyone has started something already please let us know.
Feel really sad for those who have been suffering this for years and no one taking it seriously and how many more out there think it is just them?

This discussion is related to constant belching...gerd causing aerophagia?.

I feel that the problem may be from celiac disease as I have had the same issues for over 5 months now. It started with diarrhea, then constipation, tests for h pylori, stool sample, deficiencies etc all negative. I am overweight and have type 2 diabetes though. It is not my medications as I have been on them. Also, I had a partial hysterectomy. Some may want to see if they are diabetic. Celiac has something to do with not being able to properly digest high carb foods (possibly causing gastric issues) Through experimentation, I have found that when I fairly eliminate carbs and dairy I lost the belching spells. I may stomach lining issues that need to heal in order to be able to digest carbs more readily. If anyone else has information it would be appreciated. Also, does anyone have geographic tongue?

I can't believe there are others like me.  I feel very desperate that I am writing on a forum for medical advice.  For me; it just started a month ago and I have been tested for heart problems and I do go back to my doctor in September.  I believe it does start with stress.  I am fine until I eat.  Like others have said; I do not each junk food and I do work out regularly and have for many years.  I never had problems like this and have no idea why it started.  Hopefully others come up with a solution!!

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Thank you very much for posting your own thread instead of just adding to a very old outdated thread.  Can you please give me a more clear description of his problem including if any sort of food brings it on or if it is worse when he is stressed, etc.
